This is my portfolio for Manchester Metropolitan University
Why do I want to do a masters in Graphic Design and Art Direction?
After finishing my undergraduate degree in graphic design, there are many topics I have researched and explored as parts of my projects that have pushed me as a designer to express these within graphic design. From travel to female designers, I enjoy finding new and innovative ways to represent topics that I am passionate about.
Some of my recent projects have involved skills in typography, editorial and UX design, all of which I thoroughly enjoyed and would love to take on again. I am open to any creative challenge as well as pushing boundaries within live projects. I believe doing a master's degree will help me to push those boundaries in enhancing my design practice.

TALKERS
Co-created with George Sutton (@GSUTTDESIGN)
George and I created a social media campaign around not being the same inside as we look on the outside. Focusing on the crisps not being themselves, with flavours of different packets mixed up as they are not feeling right. We must help make them feel better with humour, taking part in the #30DaysofTalkers challenges on social media to make them happy.
The packaging is slightly adapted, including changing the Walkers name to Talkers. A custom typeface, made by us, captures the thoughts and feelings in one's head, with statistics on the back, plus half a face that covers a consumer's lower half of the face.
Outcomes: Logo Redesign, Packaging Redesign, Social Media, In-store Campaign

KEYTH
Brief: choosing an object at random and finding a new way to celebrate it.
Solution: taking my chosen object, a key, and creating a typeface based on it.
Outcomes: Typeface Design, 5 Different Fonts, Type Specimen, A4 and A3 Publication

Life on Other Planets
Create and design a book cover for the book 'Life on Other Planets' by Dr Aomawa Shields. The book is an unforgettable memoir from astronomer and astrophysicist Aomawa Shields that explores what the search for life around distant stars teaches us about life here on Earth.
They want us to include imagery that points to the planets and the night sky, as Aomawa's research focuses primarily on trying to predict the weather on other planets - and what the search for life around distant stars teaches us about life here on Earth.
Outcomes: Book Cover Design, Type Design, Mockups
